DisneyWorld

We had such a great time at DisneyWorld! It was Rick, Ben and Olivia's first time and and it was great. Ben's favorite ride was Buzz Lightyear. He rode it about 6 times. Olivia's favorite thing was a tie between the "It's a small world ' ride (4 times) and princesses.
Rick's parents came out from Washington State to meet us and it was nice to spend time with them.

I thought I would share two of my favorite stories from the trip. The first was about Olivia and Snow White. We saw her walking towards us. Olivia started waving to her. She walked up to Olivia, and in a princessy voice said 'what a pretty little girl, with a pretty little bow' and then skipped off. Olivia for the rest of the night kept saying "Pretty bow, me"!!! Even after we had put her down to bed, Rick and I heard on the monitor her saying "Pretty bow, me!!" To say the least, Snow White made an impression on her.

Anyone who knows Ben, knows he likes to jump. He pretty much jumped, from ride to ride all across Disney World. He was just so excited!! Anytime we were in the hotel, Ben would watch this channel dedicated to all of the rides and activities at Disney World. The show is on a loop and would play the same thing over and over again. He would watch it first thing in the morning, and last thing at night, all while jumping.

We also had breakfast with the characters one morning. The kids loved seeing them, and eating yummy Mickey waffles. We loved staying at the Wilderness Lodge because it was so close to the park. We had 4 fun and exhausting days and it is good to be home. As we pulled out of Orlando Rick says "I have got to go back to work, because the mouse took all my money."

First Day of Preschool

I know I am backing up a few weeks, but I wanted to add these pictures of the first day of preschool. Ben was very excited to go and meet new friends. He had a great day but I still cried when I dropped him off. I know I only have one more year until he starts kindergarten. He is such a sweet boy.

The following picture is what Olivia and I did while Ben was at his first day of school. She was pretty sad that Ben left us. All day she kept saying "miss Ben", in the most pathetic voice you have ever heard. So playing dress up helped, it always does.

A New Blogger

Well, I have gone and made a family blog. With much convincing from family and friends that people would actually look at it (mainly my mom, Megan & Dinisha), I decided I would try. At the very least, it will help me write things down, so I can remember in 10 years that Ben asked me “what is in the inside of a snake?” or “where is a fly’s home?” I want to remember all the funny & great things about having little kids. Here are some recent pictures we took at the beach. We hardly ever have a picture with all 4 of us. I will do my best to keep the blog updated and I hope you like the pictures!
